Dear USATF Member,

It is time again for our Annual Meeting. I hope you will take the time to attend and be a part of the organization. We are always in need of people willing to give their time to our great sport and help support USATF programs. The more people we have involved the better our organization is going to be.

Enclosed (or attached if you are receiving this by email) are the proposed By-Laws with the various changes/deletions/corrections highlighted accordingly. Please take the time to read this before the meeting as we will be voting on these proposed changes.

If you are going to the National Convention and you are interested in serving as a delegate please let me know. We will select delegates at our Annual Meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting and are still interested in being a delegate please inform me before the meeting.

Please come and help make USATF South Carolina a stronger Association. I hope to see you there!

From I-85 South (Not Business 85)

Take exit 72 on to 176 / 585 There will be a sign to USC Upstate.

You will bear to the right on to 176 / 585 and go about a mile to East
Campus Blvd

Exit and turn left on East Campus Blvd

Go about a ½ mile to your first left and turn left

You will go around a curve and see a sign for the library

The Hodge Center will be on your immediate right

Meeting will be in the Hospitality Room on the 2nd floor of the Hodge
Center, Room 245

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - JUNE 26, 2007

The USA Track & Field / South Carolina Association has set up a fund to help Coach Kwabene Brown, known to all of us in track & field as KB, and his family through this difficult period. The fund will be accepting any donations to help Coach KB. Every donation will go directly to KB and his family. Coach KB has been a fixture with the Quickstrider Track Club for many years and has worked with an amazing number of athletes over the years. He has worked tirelessly to help youth athletes achieve their potential in the sport he loves. KB has given a tremendous amount of time and energy to our sport. Now it is time for us to give back to him.

“KB is a huge part of our track & field family in South Carolina. There is no telling how many youth athletes he has impacted in a positive way as well as USATF/SC and our youth programs. We want to do anything we can to help him and his family though this tough time. We look forward to seeing him back out on the track doing what he does best, coaching track & field. He is in our thoughts and prayers.”
